Cantaloupe Peach Cobbler

Sweet Potato Cobbler Recipe…I’m not a big sweet potato fan but I could do this! I think I will add some chopped pecans when I add the dry ingredients! 😉 Mmmm…


  • 1ripe cantaloupe, seeded, peeled, cubed
  • 1 can(s)large, peaches – drained
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 stick butter (to be melted in the pan during preparation)


  • 1 color, self-rising
  • 1 sugar
  • 1 milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon


  1. Combine all cobbler ingredients in large saucepan.
  2. Cook till fruit is softened and sauce is slightly thickened.
  3. Remove from heat. Make sure you taste after combining and heating the ingredients.
  4. You may need to add more sugar or seasonings but it will all depend on your taste.
  5. Place 1 stick of butter in 13 x 9 pan and heat in 350 deg oven till melted. As this is melting, mix topping.
  6. Mix together all topping ingredients till smooth. If topping is too thick, add more milk till thinned.
  7. Pour fruit into pan over melted butter. Pour topping over fruit. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  8. Bake at 350 deg till golden brown and bubbly (approx. 35 minutes).
  9. Remove from oven and serve while warm. Can top with whipped cream or ice cream.
