These Classic Patty Melts are brimming with sautéed onions, a burger patty, swiss cheddar, and Thousand Island dressing on flame broiled rye bread.
PATTY MELT SANDWICH
This is exemplary food at it’s ideal. I may get some distress for saying this, however I’m simply going to state it – I think this formula is BETTER than an ordinary ol’ cheeseburger. I’ll take a Patty dissolve over any burger anytime!
Serve this sandwich up for certain fries and a dill pickle and you have yourself a simple dinner that is somewhat not the same as your common burger!
Soften margarine in a skillet over medium warmth. Add the cut onions. Give them a decent mix to cover in the margarine. Permit to cook for 10 minutes without blending. With a spatula, flip the onions over so the bottoms is presently on top. Permit to cook for an extra 10 minutes without mixing. Lower the warmth to medium-low and mix the onions. Permit to cook an extra 10-15 minutes or until the onions are caramelized. Eliminate from the warmth and put in a safe spot.
Shape meat into patties and earthy colored patties.
Preheat a dish to high warmth. In a medium bowl, join the ground meat with the salt and pepper. Handle tenderly, blending the flavoring into the meat. Gap and shape the meat into 4 patties. Spot burgers in the container and cook until the base is sautéed and effectively delivers from the skillet. Cautiously flip the patties and keep on cooking to wanted doneness. Move to a plate to rest.
Amass the sandwich.
Spread the bread out on wax paper. Margarine one side of each cut of bread. Flip 4 cuts of bread over and top with wanted measure of Thousand Island serving of mixed greens dressing. Add a patty to the highest point of the dressing. Split the onions between the 4 sandwiches. Top each sandwich with a cut of cheddar and the leftover bread cuts, adulate side.
Earthy colored each side of the sandwich.
Spot sandwiches in a preheated non-stick container or iron. Cook until the base cut of bread is sautéed. Cautiously flip the sandwich over and tenderly press down, cooking until the opposite side until is sautéed. Eliminate the sandwich to a serving plate and cut it into equal parts. Present with extra Thousand Island whenever wanted.
