For the cake:
- 4 eggs
- 150 g melted butter
- 50 g sugar
- 100 g crushed walnut crenels
- 100 g dates cut into small pieces
- 100 g flour
- 14 g yeast
- 7 g vanilla sugar
- 80 g melted chocolate
- A few pieces of nuts
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whisk the egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar, whisk again then gently add by mixing with a spatula the egg yolks and melted butter.
Add 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and flour, and mix and then add the crushed walnut kernels, chopped dates and yeast.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mould and bake at 170°C for 30 minutes.
Spread the melted chocolate on the cake and then decorate with a few crenels of nuts.
