Chocolate Cake With Caramel Flan

List of ingredients

For the cake:

  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 7 g vanilla sugar
  • 7 g yeast

For the caramel custard cream:

  •  100 g powder caramel flavouring flan preparation
  • 500 ml milk
  • 200 g fresh cream
  • 20 cookies
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee

For the chocolate layer:

  •  180 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 plain yoghurt

Steps of the recipe


Prepare the chocolate cake: in a large bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar, add the melted butter, milk, then finally cocoa flour and yeast mixture, mix to obtain a homogeneous dough and then put into a sponge cake pan that opened in the side and enter the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Water the cake with a brush with half a glass (1/2) boiling water with 1 tablespoon instant coffee and let stand.

Make the cream with the caramel flan; in a saucepan, put the powder for the caramel flan with the milk and mix until dissolved, and bring it to a boil over low heat and then put it in an electric mixer, and add the 20 crushed biscuits, fresh cream and instant coffee and mix everything, then pour directly on the cake and let cool for 4 hours.

Prepare the chocolate layer: Melt the 180 g of dark chocolate in a bain Marie. Off the heat mix the plain yoghurt with the melted chocolate and pour it on the flan and decorate as you wish and let cool 1 to 2 hours.
